The adorable figurine is an endearing scene of a little brown-haired boy, with his cheeks a little flushed from the cold, playfully discovering the joys of winter, as he builds a snowman. He is bundled up in a cute lavender jacket and knit hat with pompom, plus matching orange mittens and scarf that is fluttering in the breeze. With his cold weather gear and green pants, he makes quite the colorful picture. The charming boy’s eyes are wide with wonder, as he regards his new snowy friend. He has built his snowman next to a small snow-covered pine tree.

The lad has done a thorough job in adorning his new friend with four buttons of coal for his “coat”, coal for his eyes and a carrot for his nose. A distinguished black top hat with an orange band and a broom, for the snowman’s right hand, complete the look. As the child puts the finishing touches on his new friend, he is precariously balanced on a wooden sled. This wonderful figurine has the authentic Hummel trademark “TM7”, artist’s signature, “97, Goebel, Germany”. Also incised is “#60” and “1996”.
