The Hummel and Goebel names alone are identifiable with quality porcelain items that are highly collectible due, in part, to their beauty and rich history. This lovely ornament, entitled “Christmas Delivery”, is a perfect example, with its delicate design and dazzling artwork. It is a star-shaped, puff ornament, 4 ½” in height and 4” in diameter, that has raised detailing around its edge. The date of “2004” is at the upper point of the star,

M.I. Hummel’s signature is found at the lower left point, with the blue Goebel insignia at the lower right. Stunning artwork adorns the front of the star, showing an angelic little girl, hair in pigtails, tied at the ends with blue bows. Her hair and orange scarf are charmingly lifted up in the breeze, as she rides a red wooden sled. She is on her way to make her Christmas delivery of the wrapped presents, sitting on the back of the sled, replete with ribbons and bows. The young lass is warmly dressed in a red coat and a matching knit hat with a pompom on top; her green mittens and thick, blue woolen stockings complete her ensemble. A precious doll baby is firmly held by the little girl’s hands, as it rides in front of her on the sled.
